Dogs
As pet owners ourselves we know how important it is to be able to allow them to join in your holidays and have fun learning new smells and places.

We are happy to welcome pets to The Green and we ask for a few house rules to be followed to allow you to get the best out of the house as well as ensuring our other guests who may not be pet owners to continue to enjoy the cottage as well.
House Rules for Dogs
The Green is located in the middle of Lastingham and as such the sheep are allowed to graze throughout the village and in particular on the grass area to the front of the cottage. Please make sure you keep dogs on their lead and do not let them run free.

There is ample space throughout the ground floor of the cottage to put your own dog bed(s) and a stair gate which we ask you to leave in place to prevent dogs from using the upstairs areas of the cottage. The Green is let to guests with and without dogs and we ask you not to let dogs upstairs into the carpeted area of the house or to use the bedrooms.

We charge a reasonable £25 for pets to cover the additional cleaning after each stay. If dogs have been allowed to sleep upstairs we may need to do a deeper clean to remove hair and smells which we can claim from the letting bond - please consider the needs of all those who stay at The Green and keep your furry friends downstairs.

For this reason we ask you to:

-
Pick up the poop - please use a poop bag and dispose of it in a poop bin.
-
No to furniture - please keep dogs off the chairs and sofas and do not let them upstairs in the bedrooms
-
Stay together - Please do not leave your dog unattended in ‘The Green’
-
Please do not use the towels/ tea towels to clean or dry your dogs
