The Green is our much-loved 18th-century detached holiday cottage in the heart of the historic village of Lastingham, on the edge of the beautiful North York Moors National Park.

Whether you're bringing the family together, enjoying a break with friends or exploring Yorkshire with your dogs, The Green is a place to slow down, feel at home and enjoy time together.

Nestled between Helmsley and Pickering, with Kirkbymoorside nearby, we're perfectly placed for exploring North Yorkshire's moors, villages, market towns and coast. Beautiful walks and cycling routes start right from the doorstep, so you can leave the car behind and enjoy the countryside.

After a day of adventures, come home to a cosy, comfortable cottage sleeping six guests across three bedrooms. Children and dogs are very welcome, and there's a small enclosed rear garden for summer BBQs, relaxing with a cuppa or letting the dogs have a wander. If you fancy a night off cooking, the Blacksmiths Arms is right next door.

Lastingham is a lovely village with a real sense of community, from historic St Mary's Church and afternoon tea at Lastingham Grange to seasonal village events and evenings at The Blacksmiths Arms.
